Creative, Approachable, Whimsical
Cherie began her career with top international design firm Yabu Pushelberg, but you likely know her best from her role on Restaurant Makeover for the FOOD/HGTV network.
Her appetite for travel is insatiable. Cherie experiences the essence of each new place through their restaurants and hotels, and she packs her trips end to end with unique and wonderful experiences. Her work has taken her to over fifteen countries and locations.
Cherie’s understanding of pairing good food with good design has made her one of the world’s top hospitality designers. In addition to her work at MAED, Cherie owns and operates East Side Social in Toronto's trendy Leslieville neighborhood.
Her future targets include creative properties that are distinctly different from a traditional hotel experience. She aims to master leisure-focused design where people can work and play remotely.
Cherie holds a Diploma of Interior Design from Georgian College, spent seven seasons as an acclaimed TV host and has founded two successful restaurants of her own. Her portfolio includes projects such as Editions Hotel, Public Hotels (for Ian Schrager), W Hotels, St Regis Hotels and a growing list of five-star luxury properties.
